“As an archaeologist, botanist, historian and tourist guide I have been researching the hidden treasures of Ireland for over 20 years.
I have founded Martin J. Kelly Tours and Events in order to bring to you my Ireland.”
Martin J. Kelly Tours and Events focuses on tuning the traveler in to particular aspects of the richness found in the less explored but equally fascinating parts of Ireland.
The other way to See – the other way to Learn
Four different destination types with four different themes build the frame for our weekly tours. Among these, we present to you Celtic and Early Christian histories, the wild beauty of eastern Ireland and the exotic elegance of aristocrats´ houses and gardens.
At Martin J. Kelly Tours and Events we are constantly adding new day trips to our programme in which we offer unique experiences limited to small groups. Whether this be a jockey’s breakfast in the morning followed by a visit to a racing stables, distilling your own personalised bottle of gin or a sensory experience in a meditation garden – there is something for everyone. GOOD TO KNOW
All tours take place in the East and Midlands of Ireland, the culturally designated ‘Ancient East’. For you this means maximum journey times of about 90 minutes to our destination area and short trips between stops. That leaves more time for you to actually see the sites.
The visits on our tours take place both indoors and outdoors and some paths may be unpaved and uneven and/or some are on gentle slopes. However, all are manageable for the inexperienced walker.
As you may know, there is no bad weather in Ireland, just unsuitable clothing. Our tours will go ahead whatever the weather.
Further information can be found under the relevant tour descriptions.
